Xiaomi released “Smart Glasses Explorer Edition”
This week, Xiaomi announced a new concept product “Xiaomi Smart Glasses Explorer Edition.”
The seemingly unremarkable glasses come with a wonderful experience. Xiaomi smart glasses may look like traditional glasses in appearance, but it surpasses the existing smart glasses in function.
As a smart wearable terminal with a new interactive mode, it held onto the ordinary glasses form using MicroLED optical waveguide technology.
Weighing in at only 51g, functions like information display, calling, navigation, photography, translation can all be actualized on the lenses.
According to the official channel, display and stacking departments received unprecedented challenges to maintain the ordinary glasses appearance. The future oriented MicroLED display technology was chosen to greatly reduce the structural volume. The display screen is sesame-size, allowing it to hide perfectly in the frame.
In addition, this product uses advanced optical waveguide technology, which allows light to be twisted 180 degrees. This technology allows the image to pass through the grating structure of the optical waveguide lens and finally transmit it onto the human eye with appropriate brightness after numerous reflections and diffusions. While the optical waveguide technology significantly reduces the size and weight of the device, it is currently the only technical solution that allows smart glasses to come close to the traditional glasses format.
A pure green display solution with higher luminous efficiency is selected to ensure sufficient brightness, the working brightness may reach 2 million nits. Although it is self-luminous like the OLED, it has a longer life span as it uses inorganic materials.
The Xiaomi smart glasses integrate 497 micro-sensors and communication modules, so it is not just the “second screen” of the mobile phone, but a brand-new smart terminal with independent operation.
