Xiaomi: Financial Report Q2’21

On August 25, Xiaomi announced its Q2‘21 financial report as of June 30, 2021.
The financial report shows that Xiaomi’s total revenue in the second quarter was $13.5 billion USD, a year-on-year increase of 64%. Net profit was $1.2 billion USD, a year-on-year increase of 83.9%.
Under non-IFRS, Xiaomi’s net profit in the second quarter was $975.6 million USD, an increase of 87.4% year-on-year. Earnings per share were $0.05 USD, a year-on-year increase of 77.8%.
The financial report shows that in Q2’21, Xiaomi’s smartphone revenue reached $9.1 billion USD, an increase of 86.8% year-on-year; global smartphone shipments were 52.9 million units, an increase of 86.8% year-on-year.
Xiaomi’s global smartphone shipment ranking in the second quarter rose to second place with a market share of 16.7%; smartphone shipments rank third in mainland China, with a market share of 16.8%.
Revenue from the IoT and consumer products business was $3.1 billion USD, a year-on-year increase of 35.9%. In Q2’21, global shipments of Xiaomi smart TVs exceeded 2.5 million units.
In addition, the number of MIUI MAUs in June 2021 was 454 million, a year-on-year increase of 32.1%.
According to the financial report, Xiaomi’s revenue in the first half of the year was $25.4 billion USD, a year-on-year increase of 59.5%; net profit was $2.4 billion USD, a year-on-year increase of 141.3%; under non-IFRS, Xiaomi’s net profit in the first half of the year was $1.9 billion USD, a year-on-year increase of 118.4%.
As of the first half of 2021, Xiaomi’s smartphone shipments were approximately 12 million units in overseas operator channels outside of India, a year-on-year increase of over 300%. In overseas online channels outside of India, Xiaomi smartphone shipments exceeded 10 million units, a year-on-year increase of over 60%.
