Vivo OriginOS is announced with a new UI
On November 18th, Vivo held a special event in Shenzhen and released the OriginOS, a brand-new mobile phone operating system that has been one year in the polishing stages.
Its Chinese name is Original OS. Visually, the OriginOS is equipped with a new desktop grid system-Huarong Grid. This is the industry’s first launch of a brand-new desktop grid system designed for the bottom frame of the desktop, involving the spacing, size, and space of icons and components on the desktop.
The mobile desktop can host more flexible and creative atomic components and editing capabilities. Atomic components are the core of this OriginOS upgrade, aiming to achieve a true “zero-level operation” by refactoring content display and interaction forms. Users need not enter the APP; the completion of the coherent function aggregation and core operations can be done on the desktop.
With the arrival of the 5G era, Vivo will quickly complete the layout of $304 USD — $760 USD 5G mobile phones in 2020. Successfully winning the world’s fifth place in shipments in the third quarter of this year. The release of OriginOS is a completion of the Vivo smartphone product chain.
