SNE: CATL performs splendidly in the global EV battery market
According to SNE Research, LG energy solution ranks first in the global battery installed capacity of electric vehicles in May, while CATL ranks second. However, CATL had ranked first from January to May, with power battery installed capacity reaching 22.1GWh, a year-on-year growth rate of 300.2%, and a market share of 27.1%.
In the ranking war of power battery installed capacity, LG Energy Solution beats CATL and Samsung SDI, ranking first in the global battery market with 5.7GWh installed capacity, showing a 370% year-on-year growth rate of its power battery installed capacity.
LG Energy Solution ranked second, with a power battery installed capacity of 21.7GWh, a year-on-year increase of 183.7%, and a market share of 26.6%.
The gap between LG’s energy solution and CATL is not large, with only a difference of 0.4GWh in terms of cumulative installed capacity and 0.5% in terms of market share.
The third to tenth companies are Panasonic, BYD, Samsung SDI, SKI, AVIC Lithium Battery, AESC, Guoxuan High-Tech, and PEVE. The total market share of these top 10 companies is 94.8%.
