Li Auto to reach a new milestone in monthly delivery volumes

On October 1, Li Auto announced the vehicle delivery results for September 2021.

Li Auto delivered 7,094 Li Xiang ONEs this September, an increase of 102.5% year-on-year compared to September 2020. In Q3’21, a total of 25,116 ideal cars were delivered, a year-on-year increase of 190%. In the first nine months of 2021, the total delivery volume of ideal cars reached 55,270. The current cumulative delivery volume of Li Xiang ONE has reached 88,867 vehicles.

This year, Li Auto’s overall delivery volume has been greatly improved compared to last year, with 5379 deliveries in the first month alone. In August, Li Auto’s delivery volume reached 9,433 vehicles, which is just one step away from breaking the 10,000 units mark.

Currently, some Chinese car-making new forces have achieved the goal of exceeding 10,000 overall monthly sales. The Li Xiang ONE was expected to become the first model to sell over 10,000 units in the first month, among car-making manufacturers in China. However, due to the shortage of chips, Li Xiang ONE failed to achieve a further breakthrough in delivery volume in September.

“Affected by the continued shortage of chip supply, the deliveries of Li Auto in September have declined. Since the launch of the 2021 Li Xiang ONE, the number of orders has continued to grow. We are taking more measures to ensure the supply of parts and components, hoping to shorten the waiting period for users as much as possible.” said Yanan Shen, co-founder and president of Li Auto.

As of September 30, Li Auto has 153 retail centers, covering 85 cities across China, and 223 after-sales maintenance centers and authorized sheet spray centers, covering 165 cities.
