According to Gartner statistics, global PC (including desktop, laptop, and workstation series) shipments totaled 71.4 million units in the third quarter of 2020, an increase of 3.6% compared to the third quarter of 2019.

The rising demand for home entertainment and distance learning during the epidemic has triggered consumer demand for PCs, and the US PC market has also seen its strongest growth in a decade.

These two factors affecting each other promoted the development of the global PC market.

In the third quarter, Lenovo’s shipments reached a quarterly record high (25.7%), expanding its lead over HP (21.6%). Consumer-oriented manufacturers such as Apple (7.7%), Acer (7.1%), and Asus (6.7%) also achieved small growth in the third quarter of 2020.
