This week, OPPO launched the first smart TV OPPO smart TV S1 and R1 at the release conference in Shanghai, officially adding a core scene to OPPO’s integrated ecological strategy-the family living room.

As OPPO’s first smart TV, S1 uses a 4K Quantum dot display QLED screen, which can cover up to NTSC 120% ultra-wide color gamut, supports up to 1 billion colors, showing more vivid and full colors on the screen, with 210 partitions full-array backlight, peak The brightness reaching 1500 nits, achieving precise control of light and dark freely.

In addition, OPPO also emphasizes the cross-border integration between different IoT products.

OPPO Smart TV is the first TV model in the industry to accomplish a video call with an OKII kids smartwatch, querying real-time positioning, which meets the needs of many parents.

At the OPPO Future Technology Conference last year, OPPO founder and CEO Mingyong Chen said that in the next three years, OPPO will invest $7.5 billion in R&D budgets.

Aside from continuing to focus on cutting-edge technologies such as 5G, artificial intelligence, AR, and big data, it will also develop the underlying hardware core technology along with software engineering and system capabilities. In 2019, OPPO’s R&D investment has reached $1.5 billion, and the current R&D team is over 10,000 strong.
