Strategy Analytics’ latest research shows that Xiaomi accounted for 42% of the total 5G smartphone shipments in Central and Eastern Europe in Q3’21, with an annual shipment growth of 5700%.

Ville-Petteri Ukonaho, Deputy Director of Strategy Analytics, said: “Xiaomi is the world’s leading Android 5G smartphone manufacturer in Q3’21, maintaining its leading position in Central and Eastern Europe. Xiaomi’s 5G smartphone shipments have surpassed Apple and Samsung to become the sales volume Champion of 5G smartphones in Central and Eastern Europe.”

According to speculation, Xiaomi is expected to maintain this lead in Central and Eastern Europe throughout 2021 and maintain its leading position in 2022.

Xiaomi is taking advantage of Huawei’s absence and launched an offensive with the combination of Redmi Note 9T 5G and Xiaomi 11 5G.

In Q3 ’21, Xiaomi led the 5G smartphone market in Central and Eastern Europe by a large margin, quickly gaining a foothold in this market. The other manufacturers on the top 5 list are Apple, Samsung, Realme, and OnePlus.

“Other vendors are not stagnating,” said Ken Hyers, director of Strategy Analytics. “In Q3’21, Apple ranked second in 5G smartphone shipments in Central and Eastern Europe. Apple expects the iPhone 13 to perform strongly in the fourth quarter, but its high price placement will limit its influence in the region. Samsung ranked third with its more affordable 5G smartphone series, accounting for 11.5% of the region’s 5G smartphone shipments, far lower than 34.3% in the fourth quarter of last year. Realme and OnePlus accounted for 7.2% and 2.5% of the market share, respectively. Although Realme made some gains last year, Xiaomi accounted for most smartphone shipments Volume, and Apple occupies a quarter of the market.”
