China’s first HCI automated drilling rig launched
This week, China’s first “one-click-type” human-computer interaction 4.35 miles automated drilling rig was officially put into industrial testing in the Changning-Weiyuan National Shale Gas Demonstration Zone in Sichuan.
The drilling rig reduces auxiliary operation time and improves operational efficiency. The overall lifting of the drilling rig has been upgraded from the original winch-towing to the ground remote control hydraulic cylinder lifting, which greatly improves the intrinsic safety and lifting speed, and reducing the auxiliary operation time by 2–3 days per well.
With the continuous deepening and development of oil and gas exploration, the requirements for drilling equipment and technology grow higher.
The core components of the drilling rig are made in China, and the overall technology has reached the international advanced level.
It houses independent root establishment function, which actualized the synchronization of drilling and root establishment, completing key equipment and technological process in a “one-click” operation, crosses operation between equipment, establishing the root, digging and other key operational procedures and pipe string alignment, and applying automated threaded oil and other operation; it will be also equipped with a dynamically anti-collision safety management system.
