A Steam-like mobile game platform built by ByteDance has finally been released.

According to reports, ByteDance created “Egg Roll Game”, the first new platform App based on casual games and niche games.

ByteDance launched two new game brands “NUVERSE” and “PIXMAIN” to the public, which they rarely do.

This move implies that Bytedance is shifting from the initial ignorance of its gaming business to begin building a brand.

Currently, the Eggroll game platform is still in its infancy and has only mobile terminals, with no concept of community, such as UGC content or PUGC content.

There is, however, a comment function added to the game introduction page to trigger interactive communication between users.

Therefore, from the current point of view egg roll game is still a game publishing and testing platform.

Compared with mature game community platforms such as TAPTAP, “Egg roll game” has a long way to go, but with byte ambitions, the day that Eggroll games join the community would not be too far away.

According to research by Qianzhan.com, the scale of the global game market is gradually expanding. In 2019, global game revenue reached $145.7 billion USD. It is estimated that in 2020, global games will generate $159.3 billion USD in revenue, with a year-on-year increase of 9.33%. Asia-Pacific region Game revenue in 2020, will reach $78.4 billion USD, accounting for 49% of the global game market revenue, indicating a year-on-year increase of 9.9%.
