Alibaba launches cloud esports brand “Yuan Jing”

This week, Mao Wang officially released the new cloud esports brand “Yuan Jing” at the BIGC 2021 on behalf of Alibaba’s cloud gaming division, defining it as an integrated research and transportation service platform for the cloud gaming era.

Talking about the meaning behind the Brand name, Mao Wang mentioned: “Yuan” means beginning and initial, and “Jing” represents the universe and realms. Its LOGO design is the combination of the butterfly, the horizontal infinity, and the Mobius ring.

“Yuan Jing” also put forth the new slogan of “create focus to accelerate the future”, hoping to fully support game development through their professional technology and ecological resources, so that they can focus on the creation of games, move forward by working together and accelerating the future development of the gaming industry.

In 2021, cloud gaming has gone from small-scale cloudification to a new stage of large-scale cloud migration.

In the past year, Alibaba’s cloud gaming platform has connected the central cloud and the edge cloud, actualizing the cloud gaming infrastructure with leading scale, performance, and flexibility under the coverage of the center-edge.

It has expanded the cloud computing service capabilities of Alibaba to its intended full potential formed in the traditional Internet era, achieving global coverage of 2800+ edge nodes and 31 provincial operators, shortening the network delay of existing network operation to as low as 5ms. Achieving a complete cloud gamification capability of cross-platform and cross-device content at the system level.

With the openness and flexibility of the platform brought on by the programmatic interface on-demand assembly, the current scale of the business has reached an industry-leading level.
